Kareem Grimes
In order to succeed we must first believe that we can.
-Michael Korda
Actor Kareem Grimes has not only believed that he would be a success in life, he is a living testament to that school of thought. The Los Angeles native has had his sights set on gracing the silver screen since the age of nine and has never once looked back. As a child he would watch the popular television show Diff'rent Strokes and convinced himself that he could play the role that Gary Coleman so eloquently performed. Kareem's natural comedic timing and innate ability to entertain made that goal not in the least bit farfetched. Nicknamed Baby Flip for his questionable resemblance to super comic Flip Wilson, the budding thespian would pretend as if he was Flip's character Geraldine to the delight of anyone who would listen. I was always that kid who pop-locked at the party, always showboating. I loved the attention and pretending to be someone that I wasn't, he maintains. Little did he know that during those same impromptu sessions, he was building a foundation that would later prepare him for his foray into a world of cattle calls, agents, unions, and the usual barrage of auditions.
By the time he was a teenager, he was well versed on the ins and outs of the business; displaying professionalism, passion, and dedication to his craft. Things really started to roll, John Singleton gave him his first speaking roll in Boyz N The Hood ( Ice Cream Truck kid) . Though just playing a bit part, he delivered such an impressive performance that folks began to take notice and he soon found himself rubbing elbows with some industry heavyweights. His passion for acting and faith in God slowly brought him out of the trenches to landing plum roles in television shows (Malcolm in the Middle, ER, The Riches, C.S.I, The Parkers, Standoff, Crossing Jordan, and a recurring role on The Shield), commercials (Pizza Hut, Subway, Coors Light, 24 Hour Fitness, Bud Light), theater (North on South Central Ave, The Edgeucation Comedy Sketch Group), and feature films (Jarhead, Baby Boy, Perfect Combination, Too Legit To Quit The MC Hammer Story, Legendary). You've got to know that you want this. You got to eat, sleep, and live it. It's not just something that's part time for me, it's an everyday thing. Like I always say to my friends-treat your career like it's a bank account, if you deposit into your career, your returns will be great.
Jana Savage
Jana Savage was born and raised in the metropolis that is Bangor, Maine. She is the product of a wonderfully large and loving family that encouraged her to set her sights high. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University with a degree in economics and minor in Spanish. She also graduated with a debt that will take her twenty years to pay off. Fortunately, she figured out a way to pay off that debt; by moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. After years of acting classes, auditions, and heartache, Jana landed a few commercials, indie films and web series before she found herself auditioning to be the host of PURPLE STUFF TV. While she didn't get the part, she got something much better; the opportunity to be a cast member and writer for PURPLE STUFF TV. Jana spends most of her down time on her other passion in life, animal rescue. Her boyfriend is going to kill her if she brings home one more dog. She resides in Santa Monica with her boyfriend, Casey and her three dogs, Marty, Harry and Phoebe.

She has been cast in several theatre and film productions in Chicago, New York City, and Los Angeles. Some of her film credits include Family, which is currently on the festival circuit, the acclaimed independent movie Wrestling and the shorts, Eternity and Came Here Whole. She is super excited to be a part of PURPLE STUFF TV and welcomes all the craziness and stunts PSTV creator Brandon Broussard makes her do - just see what happens if you ask another actress to be attacked by an octopus. Barry Floyd
Barry Floyd, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, always wanted to be a novelist. But then he discovered that novelists don't typically make a lot of money so he decided to become a screenwriter instead. He attended Temple University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Film and Media Arts and, upon graduating in 2004, moved to Los Angeles and worked as an intern at the Nickelodeon Movies development office on the Paramount lot. Hoping to find work on a set, he became a tour guide for Paramount until finding a job as a production assistant. Due to his ability to make various witty remarks while working as a production assistant on the set of the CW sit-com Girlfriends, Barry was given the opportunity to audition for a role that began his acting debut as the character Tee-Tee on The Game. Currently he is the head writer, and recurring actor, for the sketch comedy show PURPLE STUFF TV.
Lu Louis
That handsome devil hails from the now well known Port-au-Prince, Haiti. In Haiti, Lu attended Quisqueya Christian School and after honing his skills as a class clown and performer he went to the University of San Diego in California. There he refined his skills as an actor and graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts. Now in LA, he works as a photographer, body double for the cast of the movie 300, and a freakish actor/writer/director/producer super-hybrid.
Karishma Ahluwalia
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ca, Karishma grew up the typical tomboy, playing basketball, football and any other sport she could get involved in. After high school, Karishma went on to graduate from California State University Long Beach with a degree in Finance and Math all the while working as a freelance makeup artist and model. It was through modeling she got a chance to audition for some major roles and fell in love with the art. She began studying at the famed Playhouse West Repertory in North Hollywood, which was founded by Jeff Goldblum. She is still a member of the school and participates in the advanced scene study classes under Chris Liebe and Tony Savant. She has had the opportunity to work on some amazing web series and short films, one of which just premiered at the Playhouse West Film Festival and the web series Johnny B. Homeless that has been shown and awarded at film festivals across the nation. She continues to work as an actress and model in Los Angeles.
Preston Davis
Preston is that guy you'd see skate-boarding through Venice, with his surfboard under one arm, bright orange converse and 70's style shorts speaking to all the tourists as they stare in awe of this beautiful chocolate drop with perfect pecs. He considers himself to be the definition of ART, definitely not cut from the same cloth as most. He feels his style is a combination of hippie meets fancy and has coined himself "hifancy." He is a Los anGeles native, but feels like he is from wherever he is standing at the moment. He loves seeing with eyes of love, the lake shrine park of self realization, the beautiful amazing ocean, world music, surfing, reading anything that challenges, doing yoga and working really hard with a non-profit called Falling Whistles that helps rehabilitate kids in the Congo. A born explorer, Preston immerses himself in many scenes in LA and feels at home in all, but if push came to shove he is a nature guy through and through. He feels very blessed playing Jeff on HBO's Entourage, along with working on many other shows like Ghost Whisperer, Brothers and Sisters, Cane, Buppies and 90210. Right now he's preparing to shoot a movie called Not Today that's filming in India and Orange County. In his words, "I don't believe in boxes, sooooo ya can't put me in one".
Kevin "K.Y." Yarbrough
L.A. native, Kevin Yarbrough grew up dreaming of becoming a Laker guard, however, a lack of talent, skill, drive, defensive acumen, a weak left hand & the arrival of a 6'9" Magic Johnson pretty much trashed that plan. Plan B: Years after hearing the Jackson 5 on the radio while enjoying a game of caroms, thinking "I could totally do that", Kevin began as a singer. Fronting his first band at 14, he was later, frontman for the 80's/90's L.A. funksters, Scoundrel, winning both radio's KMET Battle of the Bands & KACE Concert in the Park competitions. Creative differences killed this project just as, LITERALLY every label in L.A. was watching the band...multiple times. He has since performed as a vocalist with members of The Gap Band, Cameo, Bros. Johnson & more. He still performs with original, cover projects & orchestra companies.
In 2009, he received a NAACP Theatre Awards "Best Lead Actor" Nomination & Stage Scene L.A.'s "Best of 2008-2009" and "Outstanding Achievement Award" for his portrayal of Coalhouse Walker, Jr. in MTLA's RAGTIME. He is 2008's "Pepsi Big Break" Vocalist Champion, held at the NASCAR Sprint Series/Pepsi 500. Kevin was runner up: 2010 Keyes Stars Jingle Competition & an "ESPN's Dream Job" National Sportscaster competition Regional Finalist.
First encouraged by casting director Robi Reed to act, Harry Lennix cast Kevin in his first stage production, Robert Townsend's 5 Heartbeats LIVE! Kevin's further stage credits include Hear No Evil, What'cha Peeping At?, Eubie, North on South Central and Black Resurrection. Kevin was DJ in Halle Berry's B.A.P.S., portrayed Barney Hill in History Channel's, UFO Files: The Grays Agenda, Det. Boone in Willa Mae, Church Lady Vampire Slayer, comedian Roger Drake in Sunset StandUp and played GOP'er, Ed Lassiter in Adult Swim's, Kitten vs. Newborn; Face to Face: 180º. Kevin has also appeared on Grey's Anatomy, Num3ers, Commander in Chief and Jimmy Kimmel. He has also *appeared* in films Evan Almighty, Southland Tales, Sprung & many others that stretch the definition of the word, "appeared" to its logical limits. Having done standup, exactly 3 times, each successfully, comedy is the final frontier...despite the terror. Wish me luck!
